THE X-SPURTS NEWS
The members of the band now concentrate mainly on solo projects but are once again collaborating on a project due out in Fall of 2010.
Bill is busy reworking some of his songs that never got recorded during the Strangers To Love sessions. Ron was very excited about the new versions. "Bill just sent me a demo of one of the tracks and I have to tell you, his voice never sounded better. I'm really looking forward to working with him on this again."
Charlie is an affiliate member of the Vic Firth National Teachers Association. He has donated his time as a drum instructor for visually impaired and deaf students with a charitable organization known as MAVIS. He also gives private and group lessons at his drum studio in New Jersey. Charlie is always excited to perform with new talent. Most recently he has produced and played on a holiday blues CD with talent Rob Battaglino. The title song "Christmas Time" was featured on New York’s WPIX morning show on 12/24/2009.
You can see Doc's band Sharp Edge at their regular gig at BB Kings in NYC and other venues in New Jersey, go to www.sharpedge.net for their schedule.
If you live in or going to be visiting the Tampa area, check out Frank and his son's band Cowboy Mafia, shows listed at www.cowboymafia.net.
Ron's solo project, push13, is in the mixing stage and will release sometime this year. It's a departure from The X-Spurts material in more of an electronic style. Visit www.push13.net for more information.
